What sustainability looks like to us

We want our garments and objects to become staples in your wardrobe – pieces you can wear with ease and rely on for several years, ideally your whole life. To achieve this, durability is a key aspect in the development of our patterns, finishings, and fabrics.

• We focus on timeless design with long-lasting styles that transcend trends and seasons. Our garments can be adjusted to changing bodies or preferred silhouettes throughout the years.
• We build long-term relationships with suppliers who share our values and vision for a more responsible industry, and visit them on a regular basis.
• We carefully source our materials as locally as possible and can trace them back to the farm: using French Merino D’Arles and undyed British wool, vegetable-tanned leather from France, Germany, and Switzerland, linen from Belgium, hemp from France, and Turkish regenerative cotton.
• We use only natural materials and avoid plastics.
• Our products are designed with the full construction in mind. We don’t only focus on using sustainable materials on the visible aspects – we replace all hidden parts of garments and leather pieces (like yarn, reinforcements, adhesives, and prototypes) with sustainable alternatives. This means recycled yarn, organic natural reinforcements, water-based adhesives for our leather goods, and recycled cotton for our prototypes.
• We work with partners who use low-impact dyes and avoid harmful chemical finishes. Our goal is to use only European-made fabrics, where environmental requirements are strict. Our undyed fibres and naturally tanned leathers highlight the raw beauty of the materials. As we grow, we aim to incorporate natural dyes more consistently.
• We keep waste to a minimum by designing efficiently, reusing offcuts, and producing in small, thoughtful quantities.
• We are working on a circular solution for the end of our garments’ lives – whether that means repairing them, taking products back, or recycling them responsibly.
• We provide detailed care instructions for every piece, so you can help your garments last even longer through proper use and maintenance.
• Our production takes place in Belgium, France, Germany and Portugal.
• We use plastic-free, recyclable, and recycled packaging materials to ship our products responsibly.
• We share what we learn through our Digital Product Passports – about sourcing, natural fibres, and craftsmanship – so our community can make informed and mindful choices.
• We offer full transparency to trace every step of the process – from fibre to finished product – either on our website or on the care label.
